12.         Comments on the trends in polymer science:

The last General National Meeting (Sevilla, September 16-20, 2007) was attended by 244 scientists. In addition to the 6 invited lectures delivered by foreigner researchers, Spanish researchers presented 46 oral communications and 145 posters, covering actual topics in polymer science: novel routes of synthesis and modification (14+29), modern techniques of characterization (9+37), advanced polymeric materials (10+20), biopolymers (6+36), processing and recycling (7+23). Figures in parenthesis refer to the number of oral+poster in each topic.
